Development of a nation is the management of large, complex systems with an interplay of multiple factors - socio-economic, technological-natural, political-cultural. Developing nations in particular are faced with numerous challenges, with those of globalisation and competition and international negotiations on the one hand, and handling the pockets of backwardness within the nation on the other.

Pragya Solutions helps the state and development organisations to shape and enable development in disadvantaged regions and backward sectors, thus building capacity in institutional structures to enable them to play an effective role in social development and nation building.

We undertake commissioned studies and interventions, including: feasibility studies and sensitivity analysis for programs; project monitoring and evaluations studies; sectoral analysis and development of programme plans; development of toolkits, prototypes and protocols; facilitating development interventions and building capacity.

Our Repertoire

Development of peoples and regions is a challenge that requires multiple intelligences, enormous attention, total involvement, and at the same time completely objective judgment. Organisations and institutions that work to shape development frequently need to step outside of themselves to obtain one or more of these - to obtain some special expertise, some special effort, some special assessment. Pragya Solutions aims to provide these.

Pragya Solutions aims to bring about fundamental improvements in the delivery of programs and development services, shape sustainable development in people, in organisations, in regions and nations, and facilitate beneficial change and growth in civil society and the State.

The Pragya Way of Work

We focus on change and benefit to client communities, working ‘with’ communities, organisations and systems in a continuous, seamless relationship, servicing their needs through multi-pronged and holistic action. We tread the path of active facilitators with imagination, insight and pragmatism. We follow the path of anthropologists, with feet on the client soil, together moving beyond development constraints and towards growth and transformation.

Our work is driven by:
• thorough study and in-depth analysis
• holistic development, multidisciplinary and multicultural perspective
• meta-thinking, transcending paradigms, and transforming realities

We provide a combination of strong, rigorous, research based solutions and the much-needed last mile connectivity to implement policy at the grassroots, through interactions with and training of various stakeholders, including national and provincial, State and non-state. A multi-disciplinary approach is typically followed, with a melding of specialists from social sciences and technical disciplines, in order to ensure technological appropriateness as well as social acceptance and suitability.

The key methodological principles that characterize our work include:
• participative processes, engaging with all categories of stakeholders
• multidisciplinary, techno-commercial approach, with scientific inputs rooted in pragmatism
• rigorous study including field surveys and qualitative and statistical analysis of data
• consultations using a tiered approach - at provincial, regional, national and international levels
• holistic solutions and innovative methods to effectively address chronic problems
• deriving models, approaches, strategies and action plans, that anchor implementation
• facilitating buy-in by stakeholders, training and organizational development for implementation

We believe in breaking through the barriers of thinking - everyday in our work. We see our work as a commitment to real development and an expression of the creative spirit. We strive to deliver the excellent and the outstanding in every product and service of ours.

We aim for sustainable value and high impact through every Pragya intervention!
